Description
This is a Tempera on wood painting of an Angel in the style of orthodox icons.
As a small child I used to be afraid in the dark. One night I saw an angel of light floating over my bed, similar to this one, radiating light. I called my mother and tried to show it to her, but she couldn´t see him. But she didn´t doubt me - she said: "This is your protecting angel, he is always with you!" Since then I had no more fear.
In reality they don´t have so strong colors as our material bodies, they have bodies of light, so they are almost translucent.
